Politics and religion, yes; Church and state, no!
Religion is not the enemy of science.
I say this because Yale and Harvard Colleges were founded by Puritans; Brown, by Baptists;
Pricenton, by Presbyterians, Duke, Methodists, etc.
In Brazil, PUC, by Catholics; Mack, by American Presbyterian missionaries; Methodist University, by Methodists, and the very good Catholic, Baptist, Adventist, etc. schools.
